Today, I’d love to share with you the perfect LinkedIn cover photo size for your LinkedIn profile. I will also show you the right LinkedIn banner size and image sizes for your posts.

In this guide, we’ll walk you through the optimal LinkedIn cover photo size and offer tips to make your profile stand out.

Your LinkedIn profile is your digital calling card, and the cover photo is the first thing visitors notice. Getting the dimensions just right ensures your personal profile looks polished and professional.

Whether you’re a job seeker, entrepreneur, or seasoned professional, this simple adjustment can make a big difference in how you’re perceived on this powerful professional networking platform.

When updating my LinkedIn header image, even with a good image and impressive text, some get cut off if the dimensions are not within LinkedIn’s recommended image size.

For example, take a look at the first version of my LinkedIn cover photo barely showing me

Cut LinkedIn Cover Photo

So, I always Google the recommended LinkedIn image dimensions every time I need to add an image for my LinkedIn profile and LinkedIn posts.

But one day I decided to create my own LinkedIn Cover Photo size infographics to always keep it handy.

Check it out

LinkedIn Image Size

I also wrote the detailed info with gifs and images, so check it out here

Make sure your LinkedIn Banner Dimension is 1584 x 396 pixels for the perfect fit.

The optimal dimensions for LinkedIn company page banner size is 1536 x 768 pixels.

Here you can add your slogan (like what HubSpot did) or for example, a photo of your team.

Should it be LinkedIn posts or Linkedin articles? Huge question, really. If you want to cover a lengthy topic, write an article. If you want to increase your audience and view count, write a post.

In order to establish your branding and gain attention on LinkedIn, content creation is crucial. It is important to determine the kind of material you want to provide because it affects your content planning and consistency. In this blog, we will explain when to upload an article or blog on LinkedIn so that you may understand it better.

LinkedIn is a great place to reach your target audience with relevant content.

(Especially when you’re in B2B sphere)

For example, 44% of B2B marketers have generated leads via LinkedIn. (Source)

But here is the question – how did they do that?

That’s a great question because there are 2 different ways to share your content on LinkedIn. And they are tooo different – LinkedIn posts and LinkedIn Articles (now it’s LinkedIn Pulse).

We at Lempod tried both and get lots of data to share.

What people say about LinkedIn Pulse and LinkedIn posts

Before we come to the actual results of our experiments, I want to share with you – what members of LinkedIn Growth Hacking community (the hugest LinkedIn oriented community, 5k+ active members) usually post.

And the majority of them said “both, articles/pulse + posts”

And only 1 person who said – “Articles only”!

I’m going to share with you stats and data on LinkedIn posts and articles but even now you can see that – it’s a bad idea to share just articles.

LinkedIn Articles Pros:

LinkedIn Pulse limits

Articles have no limits.

When it comes to posts you can’t share more than 700 characters for your post and 1300 for company posts.

So people can read more information.

Long term effect

People can find your articles even in a month or a few after you posted them.

How it works with LinkedIn posts:

You post

People see this post in their newsfeed

In 3-10 days other people make good viral posts and your LinkedIn post stopped showing to your audience

When it comes to LinkedIn Pulse, people can find it:

Via Google

From your LinkedIn Profile

As a result of it, people can find your article during next months easily, for example like this:

LinkedIn Articles Cons:

A small amount of views compared to LinkedIn posts

Since your posts appear in people’s newsfeeds they can easily find your new posts when they open their LinkedIn.

Also!

Linkedin wants more people to stay on their platform -> to show them more ads -> to earn more money

So when you see 1 post -> you scroll below and see another -> and then see one more post. As a result of it they spend more time.

When it comes to LinkedIn pulse -> people scroll below and see nothing.

So LinkedIn doesn’t boost your LinkedIn articles, as they do with LinkedIn posts.

Fewer views compared to Medium (or other blogs)

Since LinkedIn isn’t the platform for articles and they don’t focus on it, they don’t promote and boost your Pulse on a bigger audience.

Other blogs do.

Because it’s their core feature and they get money out of it.

For example, here is Guillaume’s last article about “How lempire grew from $250k ARR to $1 mln ARR without any funding”:

This is the number of views on LinkedIn:

And this is the same article on Medium:

The difference is – 11k views.

It’s a lot. A L-O-T!

LinkedIn Posts Cons

Short-term effect

As I said before – Linkedin posts are booming in the first week.

And after that time, it’s hard for people to find it on LinkedIn:

They can’t see that on their newsfeed

They can’t find it on Google

They can’t find it on your LinkedIn profile (they can, but it’s hard to do)

LinkedIn Pros

LinkedIn posts get much more views compared to LinkedIn articles

I’d love to share my personal example.

Today I have almost 10K followers, but I can easily reach 100K views with my Linkedin posts. Yeah, it’s not a million, but it’s still 10X from the amount of my 1st connections.

Can you do the same on Facebook or Youtube?

NO, with a big “N” and a big “O”.

Pssst, if you can, let me know I need to take some lessons from you

So, why is it happening?

The answer is easy – (I’ve already told you that, but anyways) LinkedIn is booming and today they are more likely to support content makers rather than other platforms.

LinkedIn is a media platform. And like every media they are selling ads (the same like FB or Twitter does). And to sell more ads with a bigger price they need content on their platform. So users (you, I, and everyone who is using LinkedIn) will read that content and stay on LinkedIn more. And since people remain on the platform more, they watch more ads -> LinkedIn gets more money.

Since people are not creating as much content on LinkedIn (compared to FB or Twitter) they need to boost good posts to a bigger audience.

This is what happened with Facebook 7 years ago, and with Youtube 5 years ago, and this is what is happening with LinkedIn right now.

FB CPM Increasing

For example, in 2012 the cost per view started dramatically increasing in the USA. Credits to the Search Engine Journal.

What to post (article or posts) on LinkedIn

What to do if – your articles are much more advanced but at the same time get less views?

The answer is – to make articles (if you want) but promote them with LinkedIn Posts:

Here is how to do that:

Scroll below to the end of the article

Click on “Share”

Choose “Share in a post”

After that ask your colleagues and friends to like your LinkedIn post.

Boost your LinkedIn posts with engagement pods from lempod

It’s not enough just getting likes and comments from your 1st connections and colleagues to significantly boost your content (Especially if have less than 30 people in a company ).

The best way to get hundreds of thousands of views on your LinkedIn content is – to get engagement from top influencers in your industry and other awesome people who are also creating the content for your target audience.

So just imagine, if people who create a lot of content for your audience and have a huge SSI (social-selling index, the better content you create the more SSI you get) will interact with your LinkedIn posts and their audience will see your post.

Does it sound insane ?

It does!

And it’s possible with lempod

How to boost your LinkedIn post engagement

As I told you earlier lempod is the hugest place for people who want to support each other’s content on LinkedIn to join our family you just need to:

Install lempod Chrome Extension

Open lempod by clicking on Extension icon

Click on the search field and start looking for the relevant pods with your “keyword” (for example, “startup”) OR join the pod with a “Secret Code” (at the end of the article I’ll share with you my lempod Secret Codes)

How to join the LinkedIn engagement pod

Once you join the right LinkedIn engagement pods, you can start getting a boost from other members.

And it’s easy as it is.

To use lempod you should:

(I’ve already mentioned but let me show it again for a public Pod, not the Enterprise one)

Copy the link to the LinkedIn post you’ve just created,

Go to the lempod and choose the right Pod,

Add the link to “Add post” field

Write your custom comments that other members will leave automatically. Note! these comments should be relevant to the content of your post.

Start Engage This Post (button)

How to add posts to LinkedIn engagement pod on lempod and boost your post views

So everyone who is in the pod will automatically like or comment on your Post, so their connections will see your content as well.

LinkedIn Pods Engagement

Wondering how to use LinkedIn to find a job?

LinkedIn provides an easy way to quickly establish an online presence that people can check out when they Google your name.

Unlike an embarrassing Facebook timeline, your LinkedIn profile is a place you want potential employers to find or have in mind when they search for employees.

It represents not only your resume and professional background but also your personality and interests.

When it’s up to how to use LinkedIn to find a job, most of the answers on the internet are relatively generic and not practical, so it doesn’t help you solve your problem.

That’s why I’m going to show you some practical ways to quickly find a job using Linkedin. The following advice always worked for me in the past, so I hope it will work for you too.

So, let’s begin!

Before I show you some useful tips and hacks, let’s go through the major LinkedIn profile setups to make sure it’s ready for your great actions!

Create a Strong LinkedIn Profile

First of all, I’m assuming that you have already optimized your LinkedIn profile, so it doesn’t look like you just created it.

Shortly, the most important parts of your LinkedIn profile are:

● Quality photo – set quality and professional profile and a background photo

● Headline – a sweet and short description of what you do and what’s your primary objective

● Career Summary – mention your previous experience, including keywords in your field

● Public Profile – make sure that everyone can see your profile

● Unique URL – change generic URL and include your name or brand in it

Make sure that your profile is polished before you start with any job finding action.

Keep Your Profile up to Date

You’re probably aware that LinkedIn accounts with a profile picture are much more likely to attract new profile visitors. The same story is for the LinkedIn users’ profiles that mention and include their skill sets.

While there are more than 45,000 skills to choose from on LinkedIn, if you strive to be more visible in LinkedIn search results, you should regularly update your skills, summary experience, and your profile in general.

Highlight and Optimize Your Experience

In case you’re actively engaging with connections and companies, some of them will probably visit your LinkedIn profile. Make sure to show your experience in the LinkedIn summary.

Here’s an example:

Find the right keywords and skills that your perfect companies are searching for to market and position yourself in LinkedIn’s search results.

Include those keywords in your descriptions of your past jobs to improve your chances of showing yourself to employers.

Besides the parts above, here are some strategies and hacks that could bring you a lot of benefits when using LinkedIn to find a job.

Let Others Know That You’re Looking for a Job

If you’re looking for a job, show that to employers and announce it. Drop it in your headline to intrigue them and make them come to your profile.

For example, if you’re a writer, include something like “Writer seeking businesses in need of a friendly ghost” it might catch a recruiter or hiring manager’s attention.

Now, you also have an option to show recruiters that you’re open to work. This option is on your LinkedIn profile.

Click on Get started and you’ll see a screen where you need to choose your job preferences. Choose the job title, location, who can see it, etc.

It will help your LinkedIn profile to get noticed by recruiters, and you could find a job faster.

Use the Advanced Search for a Job

According to the job role you’re looking for, all you have to do is just go to the job search, and type in what position you’re interested in.

For example, if you want to work as an Enterprise Sales Executive in California, type that in your search. Also, make sure to avoid the outdated ads by checking the last week’s ads for example.

I advise you first to start looking at companies where you would fit the best. If you have a LinkedIn Premium account, it will tell you how good of a match you are for the company amongst the applicants.

Don’t waste your time on jobs you have no chances at. Instead, look for the ones where you’re in the top 10% among applicants. That’s my recommendation.

Pick the ones that are most interesting for you, and apply for them!

Ask for an Introduction and Connect With Employees

Once you find the companies that you’re interested in, ask some of your connections to introduce you to a person they’re connected to inside that company.

In case you have no connections to the company’s employees, you can easily start making them NOW.

In the jobs search results, just click on Add below the Connections segment.

It will show you the company employees that you can introduce yourself to and ask for help.

Many of those people will feel flattered that you contacted them and will gladly make introductions or give you some valuable advice if anything.

Research the Companies You’re Interested in and Follow Them

To keep up to date on brand news and hiring offers of your interest companies, make sure to follow their page on LinkedIn.

When you start following companies on LinkedIn, you’ll get notifications when your interest companies post new job offers. This way, you can be one of the first to apply for the job.

Useful, right?

Use Job Alerts

This LinkedIn job search feature can help you in your long-term employment endeavor. All it takes is searching for a job position using LinkedIn’s job search feature. Once you’re finished searching and filtering, click on the Job Alert button above the results.

Click on this button to set up in a new window whether you want to get notifications to your account, email, or even both when a job that matches your search criteria comes up.

Note: Make sure to set this search alert as much as specific, with all the details included (location, time, experience, industry) and everything fit for your ideal position.

Get Involved in LinkedIn Professional Groups

Searching for the right keywords on Linkedin can help you identify LinkedIn groups in your area, enabling you to meet other professionals, expand your network, show your expertise, and even connect with the people in the companies you want to work in.

Search the right keyword on Linkedin to identify Linkedin Groups in your area. These groups provide an opportunity to expand your network, show your expertise, and even connect with the company employees inside the companies you wish to work for.

Cool, right?

When researching groups, you should be part of the groups with recent activity, otherwise, you’re just wasting your time if there’s no regular interaction. When you’re searching for something, click on the More to find Groups related to that search keyword.

There, you’ll find different professional LinkedIn groups organized around your searched term(e.g., Content Marketers). It can be a specific profession, a general industry, a company, or anything with the potential to link people together in their search for jobs.

Being in those groups can help you get some news and tips on the area you’re interested in or to make some new connections. This is a great way of connecting with the company insiders or people in your profession.

These new connections also may share job opportunities or help you get the job by referring you in the future. Make sure to use this option well.

Get LinkedIn recommendations and endorsements

A strong recommendation from the people who have worked with you helps you display that you are a great employee and a colleague. Reach out to your past colleagues or managers to get recommendations from them.

If you want a recommendation that will make you stand out in your profession, tell them why you need the recommendation – they’ll probably be glad to help you get what you want.

Endorsements are another great source of highlighting your skills in front of employers.

An effective way to gather up some of the endorsements is by going through the connections you know and trust and endorsing them for their skills. They’ll also do that favor for you – trust me.

Research Your Future Company, Boss, and the Team

Before going to an interview, make sure to research the company, boss, hiring managers, and interviewers to find out about their likes, interests, and more. You might create a chance later and use this information during the interview to create relatability and show that you know about them and you’ve done your homework.

Be Active on LinkedIn and Engage With Your Connections

It’s important to be active, authentic, and current on LinkedIn. If you have a LinkedIn profile, but you never post anything, it’s like you don’t exist. For this reason, post the articles you write or find valuable reading them, videos you created, and so on.

You can also interact with others on LinkedIn by commenting on their posts and showing your expertise. The more you interact with other LinkedIn members, the more you’ll be noticed by others, so employers will find you easier.

For example, what you can share is:

an article that adds value to your network

an update offering help or advice

asking a question that helps you get responses

a photo with a witty caption

This task uses you only 20 minutes per day, but many LinkedIn users are unwilling to do it. It’s not difficult, and you can do it on a bus, going home from the gym, or while waiting in a lobby.

How to Use LinkedIn to Find a Job by Scraping

You can do this action using Phantombuster. LinkedIn Jobs Scraper is a feature that can help you get all the public data from any LinkedIn Job post. Using it with the LinkedIn Search Export feature can help you extract hundreds of job offers posted by other companies.

You can extract all the data to an Excel or a spreadsheet file.

With the list of relevant job offers for you, your goal is to find who’s in charge of recruiting and contact them directly. If the job poster enables it, he will be displayed by LinkedIn as a job poster, and that’s usually about 20% of job posts.

Using LinkedIn Search Export, we can use the name and the company we got on this page to look for the person in charge of hiring.

And what to do with the other 80% left? Should we give up with them? Hell no!! This time we’re gonna use the same LinkedIn Search Export phantom, but we will search for the people with a range of titles such as “HR,” “Recruiter,” “Human Resources,” or “Talent Acquisition.”

Just add the company name you got from the Job as an additional filter, and there you go!

Found you again, Nantini!

Outreaching all the recruiters is the next and most important part of this workflow. You can either scrape each recruiter’s profile and enrich them to find an email address using the LinkedIn Profile Scraper feature, or you can automatically connect with them, send a custom message and, as soon as they respond, follow up with a message.

Create Your Network and Career Path by Creating Content

Many users on LinkedIn are consumers, next to minority creators. The creators of the content are the ones who get tons of benefits on LinkedIn by sharing value.

I advise you to share your knowledge and value with your connections. It will cause your network to grow by getting engagements on your content, and it will help you attract a lot of new employers.

This proactive mindset strategy attracts employers and interests them to you. Isn’t that great!?

To create the perfect content for your audience:

Add a value to your network

Solve their problem

Make their life easier by sharing hacks, news, and other valuable things

Initially, it can be hard to attract connections and other users to engage with your content!

For that reason, we created lempod!

Lempod is a LinkedIn automation tool that helps you increase your LinkedIn post views to reach an audience up to 10 times bigger with your content than before.

This largest LinkedIn Engagement Pods marketplace helps content creators and businesses automatically support each other’s posts with mutual engagement.

This tool can be a great supplement to a LinkedIn scheduling tool, so you can automate the whole process of publishing posts and getting great engagement.

To start getting huge engagement with your posts, all you have to do is:

1. Install the lempod chrome extension

2. Join pods according to your niche, or create your pod

3. Start adding your LinkedIn posts to get likes and comments from other lempoders

Once you find the relevant LinkedIn pod for yourself, enter the Secret Code and wait until you get accepted.

You just need to post on LinkedIn, add your post to a specific lempod group, and other pod members automatically start engaging with it.

When your post starts getting shown to pods members network, as a result, you can get a 10 times bigger reach than the number of your connections.

Just as I did it many times using Lempod:

Pricing

The pricing plan is simple – you pay $5 per month per each pod. In case you’re creating your pod to get automatic engagement from your team, it costs $2 per month for each member who joins your pod.

Here are a few awesome pods that we’ve recently created for our newcomers:

SaaS Haven – All things SaaS – The secret code is: 6129

LinkedIn has over 690+ million users, and more than 260 million users are active every month. So if you are just an average Linkedin member – it’s very hard to get noticed on Linkedin!

But it doesn’t mean it’s not possible.

And today in this article I’m going to show you my favorite strategies on how to stand out from the crowd and get noticed on LinkedIn among other users.

Ready? Let’s dive right in!

#1 Identify your most influential followers and engage with them [automated option]

If you didn’t know – Linkedin now allows you to see who your followers are. And the best part is they also show how many followers each of them has.

This information is super powerful cause now you can use it to determine who are your most influential followers and engage more often with them to be noticed not only by them… But by their followers and connections as well.

This strategy to get noticed works this way:

you select the most relevant followers with the biggest followers number (for example those who have more than 10k followers)

you like and comment on their posts

you get noticed on LinkedIn by these followers and their connections

Sounds pretty easy, hah?

And now imagine that you can automate this!

And here is how you can set everything up:

Use this Phantom to generate a list of all your followers

Open your document with results from Phantombuster

Select the followers with the biggest followers’ number

Use this Phantom to automatically like posts from your chosen followers

Use this Phantom to automatically comment on posts and articles of your chosen followers (you can create some generic comments that will be relevant for all posts)

As an option, you can like and comments manually.

This way you will be able to create relevant comments that will likely receive more attention and it will help you get noticed even more

#2 Boost your posts reach with Engagement Pods [automated option]

Let me ask you: how many views you receive on your posts? Hundreds? Thousands?

If not the last one – then you are missing out on a huge opportunity to be noticed by thousands of relevant members and the strategy below is for you.

The main idea of this strategy is to increase your visibility on Linkedin with your content.

Linkedin is booming now and it actively supports members who create content on their platform.

How?

It boosts the reach of the posts if the algorithm identifies the great content.

How does it identify this?

There is one trick: one of the indicators is an initial engagement under the post during the first hour. So the more likes and comments you get – the more is the chance that Linkedin will boost you post.

But how to get this engagement? Use engagement pods that will help you receive likes and comment as soon as possible.

For example, you can use lempod for this – a magic tool to boost your Linkedin marketing efforts and x10 Linkedin post views.

This is how it works exactly and how it can help you receive your initial engagement:

You install lempod chrome extension

You join relevant pods (There are thousands of pods on lempod so I’m sure you will find relevant).

You add your LinkedIn post to pods you’ve chosen

And voila, you start receiving likes and comments under your post and see how your post views increase

This is how it looks:

As you can see, it’s super easy!

Everything is automated, so you will be able to focus on what matters most – your Linkedin content strategy to get more reach and be noticed even more.

The best thing? It’s a monthly subscription that costs only $5 per pod monthly.

So you will be able to receive automated engagement from other people (all real Linkedin members) and cancel any time.

If you’re ready to start right away, here’re the pods that are trending now and secret codes to access them:

SaaS Haven – All things SaaS – The secret code is: 6129

Try Lempod

#3 Write SEO-optimized articles

Let’s now talk about articles.

Unlike posts, your articles may be searchable both on and off LinkedIn.

It gives you an opportunity to be noticed with your Linkedin account beyond the platform itself with the help of Google Search.

All you need to do is to create SEO-optimized content like when you do when creating articles for your blog.

So people will be able to find your articles even in a month or a few after you posted it.

For example, let’s take “how to connect with people on linkedin” keyword that has 500 search volume on Ahrefs and add this keyword to google search.

And the first link that will appear on Google Search results will be the link to Linkedin Article written by Kathy Bernard on December 13, 2017:

If you open the article you will see that this is just an average content with just 50 likes and 6 comments, but it still ranges the 1st on Google Search:

So the main thing here is to optimize content. Once your article is published you will start receiving views and will become getting noticed by other people.

What I also like? The prior button here us Follow so if searchers find your content great they will probably follow you right away as well.

#4 Optimize your profile for keywords

I love the idea of considering Linkedin profile as a landing page.

Why? Because this strategy works for all profiles no matter what you use this platform for: to sell your product or just to build your personal brand.

Anyway, you need to be found.

And as you optimize your website to be found on Google – you need to optimize your profile to be found on Linkedin.

For example, here is my latest weekly search stats:

And here are keywords my searchers used:

How you can be searched by relevant people? You should think of relevant keywords.

The best option to find some good ones – try searching on Linkedin on your own.

This is how you can do this:

1) Open your Linkedin search and select “People”

2) Think of a relevant keyword, type it and click on the search icon

Now you can see how many people on Linkedin show up for this keyword:

By testing 5-6 different combinations of keywords you will understand how the search works and have a clear understanding of SEO situation.

Now you can choose 1-2 keywords you’ll focus on. Notice, that the higher the search volume, the harder it’ll be for you to rank there and be noticed.

Now when you know what keyword to use for your LinkedIn profile you can add them to:

a) Headline
b) Summary
c) Experience

All these sections will help you be noticed in search results cause they can be shown on Linkedin search:

#5 Like and comment on the relevant posts [automated option]

When Linkedin decided to become a platform for content makers – we received the new option: search by content.

And this feature is super cool.

For example, recently I decided to check what others say about lempod on Linkedin (if you didn’t know – Linkedin offers this feature automatically so you don’t need to use any filters):

And I’ve found lots of articles from our blog that were shared by other Linkedin users.

For example this one about my own article on how I tested 5 different Linkedin Post Types:

It was great to see this share.

And I understood that there are lots of users who already know me and who have read my articles and will likely be interested in connecting with me and follow my updates (cause actually Linkedin is one of the main channels where I share all my articles).

So I decided to show my appreciation for doing this (by liking and commenting) and guess what?

I started receiving connection requests from these users right away.

Why?

Because people actually tend to connect with someone they know.

So from now on – I’m going to do this on a regular basis and suggest you do the same .

[+Cool Bonus Strategy To Increase Your Followers’ Number]

Today I’m going to tell you about 5 Linkedin features that very few people know about.

But in fact, these are the LinkedIn features that will help you quickly improve your profile and your Linkedin strategy if you:

grow your brand on Linkedin

sell on Linkedin

consistently create and publish content on Linkedin

So if you match any of these and want to make the best use of this platform, you’ll love this list of features.

Ready?

Let’s dive right in!

#1 Create a public Linkedin profile badge

By leveraging only the inner network we can sometimes forget about other promo strategies outside of Linkedin.

For example: if you have your own website (or blog) and want to drive website visitors to your profile. What should you do?

Right, you should promote your Linkedin profile there as well.

And thanks to Linkedin all members now have the option to create a graphic badge, that will more likely be seen (compared to an old way of promoting a profile by including the text link from your website)… and for sure more likely be clicked as well.

How to create a Linkedin profile badge:

1) Click on “Edit public profile & URL”

2) Scroll down and find “Public Profile badge” section
3) Click on “Create a badge”

4) Choose a badge from the design options

5) Copy and paste the code to your website, blog, or online resume

Why I like this Linkedin feature:
this profile badge can be used anywhere – you can paste it in a sidebar of your website, or add it at the end of your blog posts.

#2 Create a custom URL for your Linkedin profile

Standing out from the crowd is very crucial for anyone who is using the Linkedin platform.

And a standard messy-looking URL isn’t going to help with it, but a personalized URL? Perfect, it’s exactly the feature that will differentiate you from all the other LinkedIn profiles out there.

How to customize your Linkedin URL:

1) Click on “Edit public profile & URL”

2) Click “Edit” icon in “Edit your custom URL” section

3) Customize your URL in the text box

4) Click “Save“

Why I like this Linkedin feature:
this customized URL can be used on your professional materials. For example, at the end of your presentation, on your business card. The more simple and the link is – the easier it will be to remember it and find you in the future.

#3 Hide People Also Viewed section on Linkedin

If you open your own profile you will notice the section “People Also Viewed” on the right side of the page.

As you have no control over who can appear in this list – sometimes it can display your competitors that may distract your prospects and make them leave your profile page to check them.

Even if the list is ok now – you never know how it will change the very next moment and who will be shown there.

So, to not lose any of your prospects you have the option to hide this section and be sure nobody leaves your page to check somebody else.

How to hide the People Also Viewed section on Linkedin:

1) Click on “Me” icon on the top of your page near the photo
2) Click on “Settings & Privacy”

3) Select the “Privacy” tab and find “Viewers of this profile also viewed” sub-section

4) Toggle to the left to select “No”

Why I like this Linkedin feature:
let’s pretend your Linkedin page is a landing page.

Do you agree that having an additional section that can make your browsers leave is not the best option? I think you will prefer them to land on your page and stay focused only on your profile and not be distracted by anything else.

That’s why I think that switching it off is a great Linkedin feature that should be applied right away.

#4 Change the CTA (call to action) on your Highlights section

Let’s now check a mobile-only LinkedIn feature that is actually very cool cause it shows exactly how you can help someone with the help of it.

The thing is almost nobody knows about it is that you can’t see this section on your own profile, but other members can!

This is how your profile looks if you enable it:

How to change CTA on your Linkedin Highlights section:

1) Open your Linkedin mobile app
2) Click on “View Profile”
3) Scroll to “Contact Section” and click on “Edit” icon near it

4) Click on “Edit” icon near “Reach out to [Name] for…”

5) Choose up to 3 subjects and click “Save”

Why I like this Linkedin feature:
it’s pretty easy to implement, but can be very effective cause it stands out and is located almost on the top of your profile. So I think it’s worth testing.

#5 Change the Connect button to Follow button

As you may already notice Linkedin granted everyone the ability to follow people.

Following someone on LinkedIn allows you to see the person’s posts and articles on your homepage without being connected to them.

Previously, LinkedIn allowed having this only for Influencers. But now you are free to do this as well.

How to change your primary button on Linkedin:

1) Click on “Me” icon on the top of your page near the photo

2) Click on “Settings & Privacy”
3) Click on “Blocking and hiding” subsection on Privacy tab

4) Open “Followers” section and enable “Follow” button

Now your primary button is “Follow” instead of “Connect” and your page looks like this:

Note: If you made “Follow” button your primary button – your “Connect” button will become a secondary option and will be available by clicking on “More…” button.

Why I like this Linkedin feature:
to be honest, this is my favorite feature. Why? Because it may be applied in many strategies and be V-E-R-Y effective.

To get the idea, right now I will share my favorite strategy that you can also implement with ease and that will help you start gaining more followers right away .

BONUS: Cool Linkedin strategy to increase your followers’ number

The main idea of this strategy is to increase your visibility on Linkedin with your content. People tend to follow those people who can be interesting to them.

For this, you need to show your expertise in the topic where you have deep knowledge and earn some trust.

Once you are ready to start you just have to follow these 3 easy steps:

1) Change the “Connect” button to “Follow” button

2) Consistently create and post high-value content

I hope you already do it, but if not it’s high time to start.
If you need some help with this – you can check our fresh article where we tested 5 different post types to see what content works better on Linkedin. The results were very interesting .

3) Boost your posts to increase your Linkedin posts views

Linkedin is booming now so more and more content makers join this platform every day. And Linkedin actually supports these members and boost the reach of their posts if the algorithm “see” that this content is of high quality and brings value.

How does it understand this?

There is one trick:one of the indicators of this is an initial engagement under the post during the first hour.

But how to receive it?

There are two ways to receive initial engagement on your Linkedin posts:

Manual

This way you will need to ask people to like and comments on your post. It may be your friends, colleagues, your connections..

You may also join some engagement groups created to help each other with likes and comments, but this process will take lots of time, and let’s be honest – very often people stop doing it and remember about these groups only when they want to receive likes on their own posts.

Automated

This way you will receive likes and comment automatically. For example, you can use lempod for this – a magic tool to boost your Linkedin marketing efforts.

This is how it works and how it can help you receive your initial engagement:

1) You join relevant pods

There are thousands of pods on lempod so I’m sure you will find pods on your interests.

2) You add your LinkedIn post to pods you’ve chosen

3) And voila, you start receiving likes and comments under your post and see how your post views increase

As you can see, it’s as easy as 1-2-3!

Everything is automated, so you won’t waste lots of time reaching out to people and asking to engage on your post. Finally, you will be able to focus on what matters most – your Linkedin strategy itself.

The best thing? The pricing is really cheap – just $5 per pod per month.. and you will be able to receive automated engagement from other people (all real Linkedin members).

If you’re ready to start right away, here’re the pods that are trending now and secret codes to access them:

SaaS Haven – All things SaaS – The secret code is: 6129

In this article I’m going to show you how to promote your blog articles (or any other preferred content) on Linkedin to gain maximum.

In fact, this strategy has helped me gain x4 views on my linkedin posts so today you are going to see one of my favourite strategies in action.

Ready? Let’s dive right in.

Introduction

If you are creating content on Linkedin, I’m almost sure you think you know what type of content works better for you.

To confirm this I decided to ask other Linkedin Growth Hackers in our community what types of posts on Linkedin they prefer and here are the results:

As expected, I saw that there is no right or wrong way to publish, but at the same time everyone has its own preferred type.

And it’s all logical: we are all unique and what works for someone can not work for others.

So, should we always stick to that one exact type of post?

And if not, how to predict what type of post will bring better results in advance?

My answer is: you don’t have to predict, you have to repurpose content!

There is no magic, but this is the strategy that we use all the time and that helps us to squeeze the maximum from our content.

By using this strategy you won’t waste loots of time analyzing your previous distribution attempts and trying to predict what type of post is better to use this time – you will use all options and receive more!

So if you are still not doing this – it’s high time to start

As a little push for you, I decided to run a test where I will create 5 different types of posts from 1 piece of content and then will show you real results that can also be achieved by you if you decide to follow our strategy.

For the test, I took my fresh article on Linkedin Analytics for personal profiles where I reveal my success formula on how to become a content creator on Linkedin and not fail (if it’s also relevant for you – take a look at it here).

But before we start – a short overview of my main strategy for this test:

So, my content plan for this test was looking that way:
– 1 article
– 5 days
– 5 different types of content

Also, I decided to adjust every post to some well-known strategies and hacks to receive more views. So depending on the post type, every post will differ a little in order to gain better results.

Additionally, to increase my Linkedin post reach I will promote all my 5 posts with lempod – our magic tool to boost your Linkedin marketing efforts.

This is how it works:

You join relevant pods (we have thousands of pods so I’m sure you will find pods on your interests)

You add your LinkedIn post to pods you’ve chosen

And voila, you start receiving likes and comments under your post and gaining more views

Everything is automated: you just add the post and we do all the rest.

And that’s pretty much it.

So now, if you are ready to check results – let’s start from the first post type.

Post type #1: Plain text

This is the type of post that actually consists of only plain text without any multimedia.

I decided to start from it cause it’s the most simple and the most time-saving type, so the only thing you have to think about is how to attract attention to it from the very beginning.

My strategy:

Use an engaging first line

Use a hidden text

Make readers click on “See more”

This is how my post looked in a reader’s feed:

Linkedin post type: Plain text

And this is what readers saw if they click on the “See more”:

As you can see in a hidden text I’ve:

mentioned that the article lind is in a first comment (in order not to reduce reduce reach by having the link in a post)

asked my readers to leave “Keep rocking!” comment to maximize engagement

My post results for now:

This is my favorite one

Views: 8262 so far and still rising

Insights on whom I reached with my post:

Not bad right?

Let’s see the results of my 2nd post further.

Post type #2: Text with image

Day 2 and it’s time for text with image.

Actually, this is the most typical post type that you can see on Linkedin.

And my survey on our Linkedin Growth Hackers Group also confirmed that this type works the best for the biggest number of users.

So, let’s check how it worked for me

My strategy:

Use an attractive image with a large text to attract attention

Show the link in the visible part of the post

Link to comment with the article link (will explain the idea below)

So, this is how my post looked in a feed:

Linkedin post type: Text with image

And here is the full post with the link to my article in the comment:

We all know that a direct link to an outer website can reduce the number of post views.

But I really wanted to put the link in a visible part – so I decided to use another method:

I added my article link in a first comment

And copied the link to my comment and added this link to my post.

Sounds a bit hard, but actually it’s simple and worked good .

My post results for now:

Insights on whom I reached with my post:

As you can see I received less views than on a post with plain text, but note that my idea was to drive traffic.

Post type #3: Text with gif

Day 3 and it’s time to test text with GIF.

Actually, right now it’s my favourite type

It’s almost as easy as text with an image, but with gif I’m able to attract much more attention and show some value of the post I’m going to promote (if the goal of the post is to attract traffic and generate leads).

So, let’s check how it worked for me this time.

My strategy:

Use compelling first line to attract attention

Break post into short paragraphs

Tell a story

Inspire readers

Use the “comment and get” method

This is how my post looked in a feed:

Linkedin post type: Text with GIF

And here is the full post to get the whole idea:

As expected this post worked the best and I reached 2nd and 3rd connections that were interested in my article and left their comments under the post.

Post results for now:

Number of members interested to receive the article: 50+ (comments under the post + article mention in connection requests)

Whom I reached with my post:

Tools you can use to create a similar post:
GIPHY Capture to record your screen in gif format

Post type #4: Text with PDF

Last year Linkedin finally added the ability to upload documents directly to your own feed natively.

These presentations look great and the best part is that other people can now read, comment, and engage with your post without any need to leave it.

It’s really cool!

One more thing to consider: this feature is relatively new so there is a chance (like with other new features) that Linkedin also boosts such posts that include presentations.

So I was really wondering how it will work for me.

My strategy:

Use bold to highlight the text and attract attention

Note that the link to a guide is in 1st comment in a visible part of the post

And this is how my post looked in a feed:

Linkedin post type: Text with presentation

I decided to keep this post short and just see how my presentation will work.

So actually under “see more” I had only hashtags, but I decided to use them to still have this “See more” option in my post to gain more engagement from readers if they decide to click on it.

So, it’s day 6, my test is finished and I’m ready to share the overall results of it.

It took me 5 days and at the time of publication of this article I have:

151 new connection requests (and I believe I will receive more)

200 new followers

32 000+ views of 4 posts (and still rising)

1 550 views of my video in 5th post (note: Linkedin counts only views of at least 3 seconds)

150 traffic to my article on Linkedin Analytics to our blog (and still growing + I will send my article to 100+ users who left a comment under my “comment and receive” posts)

Aaaaand the best part: all these resulted in new customers to lempod

To summarize: I spent 5 days and less than 5 hours on my content creation and gained all these results. And I used well-known strategies and simple tools to create my posts.

So my main point is: if I managed to do this – so can you

If you’re reading this you’ve probably started posting content on LinkedIn and now wondering if it’s good enough and what you can change in order to improve it.

Luckily for you, I’ve been there as well and saw all these tons of likes and comments under others’ posts while in comparison to their engagement rate my was almost zero.

So don’t worry, because in this article I’m going to give you insights that will help you improve your LinkedIn strategy and will reveal you the secret on how to go viral with your content and receive thousands of posts views!

Ready? Then, let’s dive right in!

How can Linkedin Analytics help you improve your personal Linkedin Strategy

As you already know, Linkedin is booming now and I believe that’s why you decided to boost your content activity on this platform. But to succeed with your goal: be it new customers’ acquisition or just personal brand building, you should have a strategy.

If you search for Linkedin strategy in google you will find almost similar articles full of standard suggestions to optimize your profile for SEO, update your profile image, create a more compelling headline, showcase your work, connect with others, and so on, and so on…

All of these are necessary, don’t get me wrong.

But I’m almost sure you already followed all these suggestions and right now is trying to figure out another thing like how to find out what will work precisely for you talking about the content.

And that’s exactly where analytics enters the game.

How to find Linkedin Analytics for your personal page

Does Linkedin have analytics for a personal profile?

This is the question that will arise first.

When it comes to company page analytics – everything is perfect cause this is where Linkedin gives us access to lots of data. But when it comes to personal profiles – it can be a big disappointment.

But let’s take a look at what metrics we have for our personal Linkedin profile and what you are able to track right away.

Linkedin Profile Analytics

If you open your homepage you will see two key metrics at the top. There you will see the number of people who have viewed your profile and number of views of your recent article or post.

Found? Let’s take a closer look at the first one.

Who viewed your profile

By clicking “Who viewed your profile” you will see the overall number of your viewers for the last 90 days. And some data on who these viewers are and where they work below.

Based on the viewer’s privacy settings Linkedin allows you to see this info in three ways:

LinkedIn user’s name, headline, location, and industry

LinkedIn user’s semi-private profile characteristics such as job title, company, school, and industry

just “LinkedIn Member” if the user switched on the private mode in his privacy settings.

Linkedin Activity Analytics

Now let’s check what analytics we have for our content.

Linkedin analytics for posts

By clicking on “Views of your post” you will see your page with all your activities: posts, articles, documents.

Once your post is viewed by at least 10 users you automatically get access to LinkedIn post analytics and now not only see the number of likes and comments but views stats as well.

For example, here is the stats for my latest post:

Click on your post views stats and you will see more data on who viewed your post (company, job title, and location).

Post interactions

By clicking on the number of likes under your post you will see who liked it: name and headline that will help you understand who these people are.

Linkedin Article Analytics (aka Linkedin Pulse)

As you know, besides posts, Linkedin now allows everyone to publish articles on their own platform.

Articles differ from posts in length (they are typically long-form) and are ideal for SEO (cause can be found through Google Search by keywords).

Now you might ask: How long do metrics for posts and articles stay on LinkedIn?

Keep in mind that your post analytics are available for only 60 days from creation. And your article analytics are available for 2 years.

Search Appearance

If you open your profile page and scroll down you will find “Your Dashboard”.

This is how it looks:

Besides the stats that we already saw earlier, you will also find here your weekly search stats.

By clicking on it you will be able to see the number of times your profile appeared in Linkedin search results during the last week, where your searchers work, what your searchers do, and keywords your searchers used to find you.

For example, this is my search appearance stats:

Based on these insights and keywords your searchers use to find you, you will understand whether your profile is optimized well enough.

Profile Followers

And the last, but not the least: the number of your profile followers.

This info you will be able to see by going to your activity page with all your posts and articles.

Click on it and you will see all your followers, all users that you follow.

This is how it looks:

And that’s pretty much it.

Of course, in comparison with in-depth analytics for company pages, Linkedin analytics for individuals is much more limited.
But still, these basic metrics of your personal profile can help you develop your strategy and it’s time to show you how to use this data in the right way .

How to use Linkedin Analytics to optimize your content strategy and grow your personal brand

Now, when you know what data LinkedIn provides and you know where to find it you are probably asking yourself:

How exactly should I use Linkedin analytics for my personal page?

And it’s 100% correct questions to ask right now cause none of these metrics matter unless you know how to use them.

So it’s high time for me to tell you about the second ingredient of your successful LinkedIn content strategy: knowing your target audience and its preferences.

Before starting this guide it was expected that here I will begin to tell you to roll up your sleeves and prepare to conduct in-depth analysis yourself.

But luckily for you (and for me as well as I would have to do the same to show you some example ), I’ve found a tool that can do this automatically.

Linkedin Analytics Tool to discover the content your target audience loves

Meet Norns AI – the tool that will help you analyze everything about your target audience activity and start delivering tailored content.

Just a quick overview of how it works:

you create a list of Linkedin profiles of your target audience (I’ve taken 300 profiles for better accuracy)

scrape their LinkedIn profile URLs (this Phantombuster will help you)

get raw data about your network’s activity

send this data to Norns.ai

receive your report

Now, let’s take a look at LinkedIn analytics report template that I’ve received from norns.ai:

In short, it analyzed the latest activity of profiles I was interested in and delivered some interesting insights like the preferred size of the post, media type that will help me optimize my content strategy.

By using this LinkedIn analytics tool (even free version) you also will be able to see what’s resonating with people you target and adjust your content to their preferences.

And this, in turn, will help you receive more engagement and keep a positive record of your content metrics.

Cool, right?

So, finally, you are all set in terms of where to find your analytics and how to use it to improve your LinkedIn content marketing strategy.

But before you start posting your new optimized content with a big hope for a significant increase in your metrics – I have to confess.

I’m not sure if all mentioned above will help you reach your goal in the twinkling of an eye and most probably will take lots of time to show some results.

But there is one more secret ingredient in the success formula that can give you a huge marketing push.

And as promised at the beginning, I’m going to reveal you this ingredient so you can add it to your strategy and start gaining much more views on your content.

So if you are still reading this and ready to rock – my next and actually the last part of this article is for you!

How to get maximum from your LinkedIn content strategy

Let’s pretend you’ve already checked your metrics, received the report with insights on your target audience, analyzed everything, improved your content strategy, and now know WHAT and WHEN to post.

What to do next? How to receive your first initial engagement under your post that is so crucial in order to be boosted by the LinkedIn algorithm and seen by more people?

There are two ways:

If you have a massive following (i.e. 10.000+ followers) chances that your followers will see your post and engage are huge (cause they follow you for some reason, right?).
But I’m almost sure it’s not your case (and to be true my neither yet ), so you can go straight to the second way.

Use Linkedin Engagement Pods

Linkedin engagement pods are groups of people that decided to get together in order to help each other with engagement: give likes and comments.

These pods are free and very often members there have similar interests and audiences.

But there is one problem: the process of liking and commenting takes looots of time. So, unfortunately, very often many members just stop doing it.

That’s why we created lempod – our magic tool to boost your Linkedin marketing efforts.

This is how it works and how it can help you receive your initial engagement:

1) You join relevant pods (we have thousands of pods so I’m sure you will find pods on your interests)

2) You add your LinkedIn post to pods you’ve chosen

3) And voila, you start receiving likes and comments under your post

As you can see, it’s as easy as 1-2-3!

Everything is automated, so you won’t waste lots of time asking people to like and comment on your post anymore and will be able to focus on what matters most – your content strategy itself.

If you’re posting content on LinkedIn, I’m 100% sure that you heard about the debates on how to post a link on LinkedIn.

There are 2 main ways to post a link on LinkedIn:

Share the link in a Post (just add it and that’s it)

Or add the link to the first comment -> copy the link to the first comment -> put it inside the post (it looks difficult, but it’s super easy).

Here is how to do it:

Link in a comment

I tested a lot with my profile 7-8 months ago and found out that link in the first comment works better in terms of:

total views

clicks

For example, this post:

At that time I had around 4k followers and got 18k views, which is a lot:

I used this approach for all my next posts.

But one day, I tried to post with the link inside the Linkedin post:

Link in a post

One day I tried to share the link inside the post and got almost the same results:

There were 17.7k views and almost a thousand of clicks!

That’s a lot for a LinkedIn post where 1 view counts every time a user scrolls the post for 1 second!

I used Reactlink to track links (you can also use JotUrl to track and retarget with Facebook ads anyone who clicked that link – here is how I do this)

The experiment

Those two posts were too different, with different content and engagement.

So I decided to make an experiment on – what is the best way to share the link on LinkedIn!

The process:

I took a few LinkedIn accounts (one of them was mine)

Shared the same post (with the same content) on LinkedIn

But put the link in different ways (inside the post and in the 1st comment)

Results were almost the same, so I’ll share with you highlights:

The post with the link in 1st comment:

7.3k views

and 28 clicks

The post with the link inside the post:

I got less views (it’s ok, because LinkedIn cut views for posts with links)

LinkedIn is a social network that earns money by showing you ads. If you can’t easily move from LinkedIn to another platform (for example your website), LinkedIn won’t show you enough ads. So if people can easily add links to their posts -> LinkedIn earns less amount of money.

But the number of clicks was almost the same:

Results:

I tested these approaches with 3 accounts and 10 posts and the results were always +- the same:

Views: LinkedIn posts with the link in the 1st comment get more views

Clicks: LinkedIn posts with the link in. the 1st comment get a bit more clicks

How to get more views:

Since LinkedIn algorithms work by this principle:

LinkedIn shows your post to 1st connections first, and only if they like it and engage with your content with likes and comments, LinkedIn understands “Ok, this piece of content is interesting to at least 1st connections, it probably might be interesting to others”

Engagement rate on LinkedIn

So in order to start getting more LinkedIn post views you definitely need to organize the process of getting likes from your colleagues and 1st connections. You also have to leverage on the power of CFBR or Commenting For Better Reach.

Every time I posted on LinkedIn I asked my friends and colleagues to support it with likes and relevant comments.

I’ve also created the groups on Slack and Telegram where LinkedIn content makers like and comment on each other’s posts.

Here is my story, how I created and tested different LinkedIn Engagement Pods.

But the best way to get a real impact from this engagement is – lempod.

lempod is the biggest marketplace of LinkedIn Engagement Pods where other LinkedIn content makers automatically support each other with mutual engagement through genuine likes and AI-powered customized comments.

Btw, lempod is one of the 7 LinkedIn marketing tools I can’t live without.

LinkedIn Engagement Pod

How to use lempod?

Install lempod Chrome Extension

Join relevant pods (or create your own pod and invite people)

Share your post to lempod, so other pod members will support you with likes and relevant comments.

So when you get engagement from people, you significantly boost your LinkedIn post views:

Boost your LinkedIn post views with LinkedIn Engagement Pods

LinkedIn is an amazing platform.

Here you can reach 100k audience with $0 ads spend.

Here you can generate tons of leads on autopilot.

Here you can build your personal brand easily.

We’ve already shared lots of guides and hacks on how to do marketing on LinkedIn (from writing viral posts to getting initial engagement).

But today I’ll share 5 simple growth hacks that nobody knows (almost nobody).

And the most important part is – these hacks are super cheap or even free.

1- Get $50 LinkedIn Ad credits for FREE

If you never tried LinkedIn Ads – this growth hack is for you.

Everyone knows that LinkedIn is an awesome platform for B2B advertising – because you can target super accurate group of people. For example “CTO at Los Angeles”.

You can’t do the same on Instagram or Facebook (you can, but the audience will be smaller, since people don’t usually fully complete their Fb profiles).

But the only problem with LinkedIn is it’s quite expensive.

That’s why lot’s of marketers don’t even test this channel.

But now you can get $50 as a free trial. So you will be able to not generate leads, but at least test your campaign and find out whether it’s worth to continue with your own budget.

How to use this LinkedIn growth hack:

Go here

Put your email

Get further steps on your email (you will need to wait a bit)

2- Boost your Linkedin posts with engagement pods

In a few words – LinkedIn engagement pod is a group of people (usually this group is closed), where everyone is ready to support each other with mutual engagement.

Help each other with engagement pods

So if you’re the part of this “pod” you will need to like others’ posts but at the same time, you will get likes and comments as well.

Why do you need LinkedIn Engagement Pod?

As I shared before in “how my LinkedIn posts reached 100K views”, LinkedIn has their own algorithm on how they boost posts.

I’m not 100% in this formula, because I don’t work for LinkedIn, but from my experience it totally makes sense.

So what LinkedIn does after you post there:

Engagement rate on LinkedIn

Step #1 – LinkedIn shows your content to a small group of people

Step #2 – If they engaged with your post LinkedIn starts showing it to all of your 1st connections + to friends of your friends

Step #3 – If 2d or 3d connections will like or comment on your posts, your content will appear in their network as well.

Viral LinkedIn post

(That’s one of the reasons, why my posts get 30K views on average, but I have only 4K followers).

For example here

My LinkedIn Post Views

Since there are a lot of content to show, LinkedIn needs to prioritize all posts and show only valuable and interesting ones.

Because if there are more great and valuable posts on LinkedIn -> people will scroll and stay on LinkedIn more -> the more ads LinkedIn will be able to show -> the more money they can earn.

So they monitor posts on the engagement, and if a piece of content doesn’t get a lot of likes and interest during the first 3 hours, it probably wonface’t get it later.

How to produce LinkedIn content proven to succeed

So you need to get initial engagement to conquer LinkedIn content game.

Automatic LinkedIn Engagement Pods

There is a solution that automates “likes exchange” process. It’s called lempod (by the way, it’s one of my favorite LinkedIn marketing tools), and this is the hugest marketplace of LinkedIn engagement pods.

lempod’s marketplace of pods

Once you install lempod’s Google Chrome extension, you can visit “Marketplace” page where you can search for new pods by using keywords and tags.

For example, if you need some “Growth-oriented” pods, just type “Growth” in a search bar and you’ll find relevant pods.

Or you can also check Highlighted Pods – these are the best pods of the week. There should be enough amount of active people.

Find relevant engagement pods

Join LinkedIn engagement pods with a Secret Code

Or you can always join pods with a “Secret code”. It’s a unique 4-number code that people share everywhere, so you can join others’ pods with this approach.

Once you join pods you can get likes and comments from other lempoders. To do that you need:

Copy the link to the LinkedIn post you’ve just created,

Go to the lempod and choose the right Pod,

Add the link to “Add post” field

Write your custom comments that other members will leave automatically. Note! these comments should be relevant to the content of your post.

Start Engage This Post (button)

Add LinkedIn post to LinkedIn Engagement Pod

As a result you’ll get a huge impact on your LinkedIn post views.

For example, this is one of my the most successful posts:

Boost of LinkedIn Post views with engagement pods

Do you know what’s the sweeties in all of this?

It’s the price.

It’s just 5$/pod/month. So for the less than a cup of coffee from Starbucks you get 10X of your LinkedIn content reach.

Here are some pods that I personally use:

SaaS Haven – All things SaaS – The secret code is: 6129

3- Increase your LinkedIn post reach by adding PDFs

Have you ever posted a PDF document on LinkedIn?

I bet – no.

Just because LinkedIn has released this feature a half a year ago, and it’s not a common thing for everyone to use it.

BUT!

Today is great time to try it. When LinkedIn releases something new, they boost posts with it, so people get more results after using it. And as a result – start using this feature more and more.

The same happens to PDF documents.

How to add PDF document on LinkedIn

If you add documents to your posts you can easily 3X your LinkedIn post views.

Also if we compare posts with images and posts with PDFs – posts with PDFs get 2.5x more LinkedIn reach.

So when you need to post an image, just create a 1-page PDF document and add it to your post:

Boost posts where you’re mentioned

4- How to post a link on LinkedIn in 2020

How to post a link on LinkedIn in 2020

DON’T add direct links to your LinkedIn posts.

This is the mistake that 99% of people make.

I’m not joking when telling about “99%”, I had 100+ calls with people who are doing content on LinkedIn and they all (ALL) add direct links to their posts.

Here is why you SHOULDN’T do this:

LinkedIn is a social network which earns money by showing you ads. If you can’t easily move from LinkedIn to another platform (for example your website), LinkedIn won’t show you enough ads. So if people can easily add links to their posts -> LinkedIn earns less amount of money.

As a result LinkedIn cuts the reach of posts with links by 7-10X (from my experience).

How to post a link on LinkedIn

Looks awful, right?

But no worries, here are 2 ways to generate traffic to your blog/website from LinkedIn posts with links:

Add the link to the first comment

This is the hack that Stapho has shared with me.

When you add links to the comments, LinkedIn doesn’t cut the reach. And that’s awesome!

But what if there are 10+ comments?

It becomes muuuuch harder to find the right comment (because LinkedIn ranges comments not by the date, it ranges it by the engagement this comments got).

Here is the solution –

Step #1 – Leave the link to your blog to the first comment.

Step #2 – Copy the link to this comment by clicking on “three dots” button.

Step #3 – Edit the post and add the link to the comment

So you will have the post with the link which leads to the comment with the direct link to your blog.

Looks like a super hard thing – but frankly speaking, it’s easy to do. Check the gif below

How to add links to LinkedIn Posts

2. Ask people to leave a comment, so you can send them the link

How does it work?

You don’t add the link anywhere, but you ask people to leave a simple comment (for example “+”), so you can send them the link directly or as a reply to the comment.

How to add links to LinkedIn post in 2020

And then you tag a person (with “@” + name) and add the link to your blog or website.

How to add links to LinkedIn posts with comments technique

I really love this technique for 2 reasons:

a) When people leave comments, they really need your content and will read it for sure once they get it.

b) When people comment on your posts it increases LinkedIn reach.

How does it work?

When you comment on anyone’s post -> LinkedIn thinks that this is great comments and starts showing it to your audience.

So more comments people leave -> More LinkedIn post reach you get.

Bonus: Collect people who clicked on your link to the retargeting audience

Just imagine, you can show FB ads on everyone who clicked on your link to your Medium article or an awesome resource which is not on your website and your domain.

(When you lead people to your website or blog, you can add a retargeting pixel directly to that)

But when you share different links to other sources, here is your solution – JotURL:

What you need to do (for FB retargeting):

Find your Facebook pixel ID: sign in to your Facebook Business Manager (or Ads manager) -> Click on Tools – Pixels -> You will find the basic analytics of your pixel. The ID is right on the top.

Go to the JotURL -> Remarketing Code

3. Add your FB pixel ID

4. When you create links to other resources -> just choose “FB pixel”

5- Boost posts where you’re mentioned

https://cl.ly/be4f35f27475 https://cl.ly/314a3d6f810d

It’s amazing when people mention you with a positive feedback on social media, isn’t it?

You definitely need more people see real testimonials.

So, you can boost that posts with your the engagement from your colleagues

1st of all you need to find all posts where people mentioned your company:

Go to the company’s page on LinkedIn -> Activity:

Choose posts you want to boost:

Then you need to create a “Company pod”, so all your colleagues will automatically engage with that post:

Install lempod.com

Go to the billing page -> Create “Enterprise pod”

3. Invite your colleagues to that pod with the secret code or by clicking on “Share” button

4. Go to your pod and share the post where you’re mentioned to your company pod and everyone will engage with this automatically:

Summary:

These hacks are super simple and at the same time they are quite cheap (under $100):

lempod – $5/month/pod

lempod company pod – $2/month/pod

JotURL – $9/month

Other hacks are free!

Everyone says that LinkedIn is the best place to generate leads. For example, based on statistics:

“LinkedIn is the #1 social media platform to generate business leads. And it’s 67% ahead from the 2d place (Twitter).”

LinkedIn Stats

According to recent research from Really Simple Systems, 43 % salespeople use LinkedIn as a primary tool in generating leads.

But when people come to LinkedIn lead generation and just at the beginning of this road – they usually don’t get any results (A-N-Y).

Why LinkedIn outreach doesn’t work

Here is what people usually do:

Google “how to generate leads on LinkedIn” or “the best connection request templates on LinkedIn”.

How to generate leads on LinkedIn

2. Find outdated tactics and strategies that worked 5 years ago

3. And do what 95% of people do – sent the same messages

Aaaand they usually fail.

Here is the example of messages you definitely got at least 20 times.

Bad LinkedIn Connection Message

So, why it’s not working?

There are might be lots of reasons, but I’d say: “it’s super hard to be relevant to people”.

So they just send 1 message to thousands of people and try to play in “Game in numbers”.

LinkedIn Outreach Results

But in their defense I can say that it’s hard to be relevant.

You can spend a few hours on segmenting a small target group with dozens of LinkedIn Search Navigator filters.

But people will still say to you:

“I’m not interested in it right now.”

I know that feeling – it’s horrible.

It happens even with well prepared cold outreach campaigns because you can’t be always relevant to your leads. Someone doesn’t need your service right now, someone has a huge focus on other tasks and so on and so forth.

Solution

But here is a solution – you need to nurture your audience with cool and relevant content on LinkedIn. It works really well for 2 reasons:

People start to trust you more because when you share valuable content you become an influencer in this topic.

You can proactively engage with the hottest leads and as a result, your campaigns will be much more successful.

Today I’ll focus on how to do that. So here we go, there are several steps in it:

Write valuable content

Make it viral

Scrape everyone who engaged with your content

This approach gave us:

+ 2k paid users

+ 20k traffic

For example, this is the results for the last article we shared on LinkedIn:

LinkedIn Lead Generation

So let’s dive deeper on how to generate leads on LinkedIn:

Step1. Write valuable content + make it viral

There are 2 factors that make a huge impact on whether your post will be viral or not:

Quality of the content + Initial engagement = Viral post

There are lots of tips and tricks on how to create valuable content on LinkedIn, but I’ll focus on the main points you need to follow, when you’re posting on LinkedIn:

1. Tell a story in your post

That looks obvious, but just believe me – there are a lot of people who still think that if they put the link to their website and post it – they will get clients and leads.

Come on!

It’s 21st century and now NONE clicks on links if there is just “hey, we wrote this amazing article … bla-bla-bla … check it out here”.

Why?

Because we live in an era of ads. We watch ads every single day. And just because ads are everywhere we ignore 99% of it.

So just forget about that quick sales pitches. They WON’T work.

How not to post on LinkedIn

What should be instead?

Story.

It’s impossible to sell anything with just a pitch (unless you’re Coca-Cola with their ” Holidays are coming”), but it’s possible when people feel the story behind a product.

With a story you can describe:

problem that you’re solving, so people can understand whether they have this pain,

why are you solving it,

and the way you do it.

Example of good LinkedIn post with a story

LinkedIn best practices – ricardo

Here is the link to this post by Ricardo.

2. Give value so people can improve their business right away

What is the best LinkedIn post?

Great question with many answers.

But what I always tell on it is – “the best LinkedIn post changes readers’ business once they finish reading it”

LinkedIn is a professional network where people talk about business.

So, to get engagement and make your posts viral – help other people improve something in their area.

Cats and Memes won’t work.

(Frankly speaking, they will become viral, because it’s … cats! But you won’t get traffic and leads from these posts)

What you can share:

tactics that you used to reach X% of growth,

your favorite tools that you can recommend

a story from your life about something (for example, “How I raised XYZ millions of dollars)

and many other valuable things that lead to “Oh, I need to try this”

Example of a great valuable LinkedIn post

LinkedIn best practices – Ilya Azovtsev

Here is the link to this post by Ilya (me).

3. How to post a link on LinkedIn in 2020

We’ve prepared the fullest LinkedIn Marketing Checklist – that will help you find the weak points you should improve in your LinkedIn marketing. Get it here.

Step2. Boost your LinkedIn posts with LinkedIn engagement pods to reach more people

LinkedIn has its own algorithm on how they boost posts.

I’m not 100% in this formula, because I don’t work for LinkedIn, but from my experience it totally makes sense.

So what LinkedIn does after your post there:

Step #1 – LinkedIn shows your content to a small group of people

Step #2 – If they engaged with your post-LinkedIn starts showing it to all of your 1st connections + to friends of your friends

Step #3 – If 2d or 3d connections will like or comment on your posts, your content will appear in their network as well.

So that’s why people started creating “LinkedIn Engagement Pods”. In a few words – LinkedIn engagement pod is a group of people (usually this group is closed), where everyone is ready to support each other with mutual engagement. So if you’re the part of this “pod” you will need to like others’ posts but at the same time, you will get likes and comments as well.

Because of LinkedIn Engagement Pods, my posts easily can reach 100k+ views:

There is a solution that automates the “likes exchange” process. It’s called lempod (by the way, it’s one of my favorite LinkedIn marketing tools), and this is the hugest marketplace of LinkedIn engagement pods.

Once you install lempod Google Chrome extension, you can visit the “Marketplace” page where you can search for new pods by using keywords and tags.

For example, if you need some “Growth-oriented” pods, just type “Growth” in a search bar and you’ll find relevant pods.

As a result, you’ll get a huge impact on your LinkedIn post views. For example, this is one of my most successful posts:

Here are some bonus pods with secret codes:

SaaS Haven – All things SaaS – The secret code is: 6129

Step 3. Scrape everyone who engaged with your LinkedIn posts and reach out to them on LinkedIn

There are 2 ways to do that:

Phantombuster and Expandi, I’ll show both of them.

Expandi

Expandi is a great cloud-based solution, which makes a strong focus on safeness. Apart from a lot of cool automation features it also provides:

Dedicated IP in your country

Human behavior

And a dozen more features for safeness

But there is one more cool feature – “Post Engagement”. It’ll scrape everyone who liked (or/and) commented on your content.

So here we go, once you create a new account you need to go to the “Search” section.

Click on “Start New Search”

Click on “Post engagement” and add a LinkedIn URL of a post you want to scrape.

It’ll take some time to scrape everyone. But you can check the status on “Search” section

When scraping is done, you can go to the “Campaigns” section and click on “Add campaign” to create an outreach campaign:

Go to the “Steps”.

Prepare the message that people will get and click “Apply”:

Set up LinkedIn Marketing Automation tool – Phantombuster

NOTE!

To copy the link to the post, just click on three dots and click on “Copy link to post”

The best posts for this are viral posts with lots of likes.

Just to remind you, if you want to make your posts viral you can use lempod LinkedIn marketing tool and boost your posts with likes/comments from other content makers.

Once this process is finished, click on “Download/get link” to save results.

Now you have the list of people who liked your LinkedIn post.

Now you can upload this list to almost any LinkedIn automation tool to send them the campaign.

Step 4. Connect with everyone who liked your post

Create a connection message that will be sent to people who liked your LinkedIn post.

I personally used this one:

“Heyo {first_name}!

Thanks a lot for your “like” on my post about X

Hope we can share the experience with each other and be helpful,

Let’s connect here!

Ilya”

What’s in result?

With this template I got:

85-90% of people accept your LinkedIn requests

30-35% of people reply

LinkedIn Connection Massage

What’s important in this template – I don’t want to SELL anything, I just want to build relationships with other people.

It’s muuuch better than just doing a cold outreach. And it’s obvious, because people already saw you and they trust you.

Summary

LinkedIn is the best place to generate B2B leads with content and outreach. But you shouldn’t choose only one (content or outreach) – I’d recommend you go with both.

So the whole process looks like this:

Write cool post

Make it viral with lempod

Scrape everyone who liked your post

Connect with those who engaged with your post

Repeat
